THERE is still time to prevent signs being erected warning against bathing on Teignmouth's main beach.
Under stricter new EU regulations due to come into force next year, the signs would have to go up by law, unless the current 'poor' bathing water rating is improved.
It could have a drastic effect on the tourist trade, but a lot can be done to improve the water quality, was the message at a meeting in the resort on Monday.
