Teignbridge Sport Personality of the Year 2012 James Bevis, has collected his award.

The Paralympic air rifle bronze medallist met district leader Cllr Jeremy Christophers (right) at Forde House this week, having been unable to attend last month's ceremony at The Langstone Cliff Hotel, Dawlish Warren, because of a back injury.

The 36-year-old, who has now moved to Hereford from Teignmouth, praised the district for its support during his year of sporting success.

'It was a real honour to be recognised with three awards in the Teignbridge Sports Personality of the Year 2012.
