It wasn’t just music fans who have been attending Devon’s ever-popular music festival Beautiful Days

Among the thousands enjoying the likes of Super Furry Animals, Madness, Levellers, The Proclaimers, The Divine Comedy and The Wonder Stuff at Escot Park in east Devon was a film crew and the stars from the television series Beyond Paradise.

Kris Marshall in his Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman role, Sally Bretton as his screen wife Martha and Dylan Lleweyn as Constable Hartford were all spotted among the crowds as they filmed scenes for the show on the first day of the festival.

Beautiful Days was doubling up for the fictional Shipton Abbott Festival - although the plot details of the episode, expected to be aired next year, were being kept under wraps

Kris wearing a Levellers t-shirt - a nice nod to festival founders The Levellers - was happy enough chatting to festival goers between takes and said that he found the atmosphere at Escot great.

Likewise his co-star Sally Bretton said she was also enjoying the festival and it was a bit different from their normal filming locations.
