A BRAVE Teignmouth councillor has revealed he has not long to live.

Cllr Geoff Bladon, 69, a former mayor, told this newspaper: ‘I have terminal cancer, but I am not afraid of death.’

He was recently diagnosed with liver cancer, which has spread. Doctors say there is no hope and he will die within two to four months.

He said:?‘Dying does not frighten me; I have religious beliefs and at the end of the day I will just close my eyes and join my family.

‘I have always been strong both physically and mentally all my life, but although I have a high pain threshhold, I just hope the pain is not too bad at the end.’
