A FIGHT to save 32 acres of Teignmouth fields from going under the bulldozer will be taken to the wire next Tuesday when district planners recommend that the 255-home scheme goes ahead.

One of those hoping to prevent the development, Roger Lea, said: 'People are angry now because planners are disregarding local feeling and knowledge.'
