A PROMINENT Teignmouth businessman fears his firm could be put out of business from the disruption caused by a major scheme to replace a road bridge across the railway.
Network Rail is spending more than £1 million on a new bridge for Fore Street-Exeter Street, which used to be one of the main roads in and out of the town.
It will involve roads being closed and parking restricted for periods during the six-month contract, and architect Brian Godfrey, 81, says it will mean a long walk for staff and clients to and from his Richmond House office.
'They are providing parking in the Teign Street car park, but that is quite a hike from our office.
