South West event production company, Waggle Events is marking its 10th anniversary having provided more than £45,000 worth of support to charities in the last financial year alone — through discounted event services, profit-sharing, volunteer hours and direct financial donations.
Founded by directors Claire Watson and Rob Watson in 2016, the company delivers technical production, audio visual and event support for organisations across the region, from local fundraising events and community projects through to corporate events and large-scale public experiences.
Since launching, the company has supported hundreds of events across the South West, including delivering specialist technical production for the South Devon Railway’s Polar Express Train Ride - one of the region’s most popular festive events.
The company has also worked extensively with charities and community organisations including Cancer Research UK, Rowcroft Hospice, providing production and technical support for major fundraising events.
Claire Watson said: “When we started Waggle Events, we wanted to build a business that delivered professional, reliable events while also supporting charities and communities.
“We understand how important fundraising events are and how hard charities work to maximise every pound they raise. From the very beginning, we wanted to create a business model that helped organisations put on brilliant events without unnecessary pressure on already-stretched budgets.
“To now be in a position where we’re providing more than £45,000 worth of support to charities in a single year is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
Over the last decade, Waggle Events has become particularly well known for working closely alongside charities as an extension of their team, helping organisations find practical, cost- effective ways to deliver engaging events while protecting valuable fundraising income.
Shala Weeks, marketing, brand and event manager at Rowcroft Hospice, said: “Waggle Events has supported Rowcroft’s events for many years and they genuinely feel like an extension of our team. As a charity, managing costs carefully is incredibly important and we’re hugely grateful for the ongoing support Waggle provides.”
