POLICE are looking to identify a pair of dog walkers who were walking their dog on the ‘off road’ footpath besides the East Dart River.

The man and woman were on their way back from Clapper Bridge between 1pm and 1.30pm on Sunday, April 20, police say.

The male gave his name as Geoff / Jeff White from the Weston Super Mare area.

The male was described as a white male, large build, approximately 5ft 11ins tall, with salt and pepper receding red hair and short cut beard of the same colour.

The female was described as a white female, shorter than the male, in her mid to late forties, with blonde hair and glasses.

‘Their dog was a mid sized Harrier type dog which was light red/tan coloured dog with white patches’ a spokesperson for the Ashburton and Chudleigh Policing Team said.

‘If you recognise this description, please contact Devon & Cornwall Police on 101 and quote occurrence reference 50250099343’ the spokesperson added.
