THE early week rain and wind disappeared, and summer suddenly returned, much to the relief and delight of Teignmouth carnival organisers.

Sunday was a bit of a cold and wet washout, but as the weather gradually improved, the crowds were out in force on The Den for the carnival jollity, and all the fun of the David Rowland fair.

Young and old alike enjoyed the many events, and Sarah Woolway, chairman of the carnival committee, was highly pleased.
