DAWLISH museum is halfway to upgrading its computer system after a grant of £250 from Dawlish Town Council. Before securing the funds, Brenda French, of the museum, said: 'Over the years the society has carried out its administration on a mix and match of computers either second hand or donated. 'We are now at the stage where we need to be able to input our whole collection on to a database, and are not confident that our system is capable.' She asked the town council if it could contribute or help on any way. A computer firm in the town has said it will upgrade the museum's equipment for £500. Councillors unanimously agreed to grant £250.
