Chudleigh Cricket Club held its annual presentation and dinner dance on September 19 at Teignmouth Golf Club.

More than 80 players and supporters attended the evening, which recognised the teams' achievements and players' personal contributions during the season.

All the teams retained their current league status, and the Twenty/20 team were runners-up in the regional Teignbridge competition. Brothers Lee and Mark Solway achieved their maiden centuries during the season, both scoring 103 not out.

Chairman Simon Knight thanked the many people involved who work hard, often behind the scenes, in order to keep the club functioning and enabling the cricket matches to take place.

The club is looking forward to its 150th anniversary year in 2009, when some special fixtures and events will take place.

Overseas player Pat Bolster attended the evening and he was presented with some gifts from the club, which included a picture of the Kate Brook ground painted by member Nick Tuckett.
