THE mayor of Dawlish's annual civic evening raised more than £2,800 for charity, it has been revealed.

Held at Cofton Country Holiday Park, the event was attended by 140 guests who enjoyed a meal, entertainment from singer and comedian Alan Diamond and a disco provided by Ian Parkes.

Hosted by mayor and mayoress, Cllrs John Petherick and his wife Linda, guests included Anne Marie Morris, MP?for Newton Abbot, and Cllr Anthony Ballinger, chairman of Teignbridge Council
