ONE of the founders of a Teignbridge charity was thrilled to meet the Prime Minister's wife at 10 Downing Street.

Annie Kirk, of the Helen Foundation, was invited to a charity champions reception, and was impressed by the easy charm of Samantha Cameron.

The two women had something in common – both suffered family tragedies.

Annie and husband Roger lost their talented actress daughter Helen in a car accident, and the Cameron's six- year-old son Ivan died in 2009 after illness.
