OUR Viv – Teignmouth Post columnist Viv Wilson – has been given a civic reception to mark her imminent 70th birthday and her community work in the town.

Mayor Cllr Jacqui Orme held a civic reception at Bitton House for the renowned local historian.

Cllr Orme thanked her for supporting council projects, including the annual Teignmouth in Bloom contest.

A bouquet of flowers was presented by the mayor and Jim O’Connor, a Burma Star veteran.
