there have so far been no nominations for the Bovey Tracey and Heathfield 2016 Young Citizen of the Year Awards.
The last day is Monday, February 29, and the town council is hoping there will be a late surge in entries.
Deputy mayor Cllr Tony Allen said town councillors have in the past highlighted some of the terrific community work of youngsters who deserved public recognition.
It is simple to make a nomination – forms are available from the three post offices, the town’s library and the town council office, as well as online via the town council website.
The town council is asking all the schools, youth organisations and others circulated about the awards, as well as parents and friends, who may be aware of young people (individual or small groups) up to the age of 18 who could qualify for the awards, to submit a nomination on their behalf.
Further information can be obtained by contacting the town council office, telephone 01626 834217.
