A COASTAL park in Dawlish is now reopen following a makeover.

Carried out by contractors working on the sea wall project, the Pocket Park near Coastguards Cottages is back open to the public.

Work started in July to revamp the area with a new footpath, handrail and wildflower turf along with planting of new shrubs and flowers.

A spokesman for the South West Rail Resilience Programme said: ‘The benches are now in place, so passers-by may sit and enjoy the coastal views.’

A bug hotel and bat box will also be installed.
