COMET NEOWISE made its closest pass of Earth this week but you can still see it from the UK.

Emma Knight sent in this picture of the comet over Mid Devon.

Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) was at its closest flyby of Earth on Thursday.

At its closest, astronomers expected the comet to come within 64 million miles (103 million km) of the planet.

The beautiful comet is visible from the Northern Hemisphere this month in the evening and morning hours.

The comet has produced a tail that stretches for tens of thousands if not millions of miles across the solar system. Once the comet passes out of sight, it will not return to our corner of space for at least 6,800 years.
