MORE than 100 people sat down to enjoy a traditional turkey Christmas lunch at the Strand Centre in Dawlish on Christmas Day.
Many of those tucking in to the meal with all the trimmings would otherwise have been alone.
Organiser Marie Whitehead said: ‘It’s a privilege to serve at this special time of year.
‘It was a great community event.’

The event was made possible thanks to individuals and businesses including restaurant Ducky Delish which donated the turkey and sprouts.
Centre manager Paul Lentle was in charge of the cooking with helpers and table servers who served up the food.
The event also included musical entertainment and a visit from Mayor of Dawlish Anthony James and Father Christmas.
