A MAN from Buckfastleigh has been bailed after admitting charges of assault and criminal damage.
Ryan Gainard, 28, of Old Totnes Road, appeared in court where he pleaded guilty to damaging a marked police van, to the value of £200 on April 17.
He further admitted assaulting a man causing actual bodily harm at Torquay police station on April 18.
Magistrates remanded Gainard on conditional bail until June 9 for the preparation of pre-sentence reports.
