THE Ashburton Art Trail is set to return this week.

Bringing artists, makers and visitors together for a weekend celebrating creativity across the Dartmoor town, the annual event takes place from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, May 31.

More than 20 venues will be opening their doors across Ashburton.

Organisers say this year’s trail will welcome back many familiar exhibitors alongside a number of new artists and artisans.

Visitors will be able to explore studios, homes, galleries and independent businesses while discovering a wide range of work including painting, ceramics, printmaking, textiles, jewellery, photography and sculpture.

Organisers have confirmed that Field System Gallery in West Street will once again act as the central hub for the walking trail, featuring a large-scale map and a display piece from every exhibitor taking part in the event.
