FIREFIGHTERS in Dawlish have raised more than £1,000 for a charity close to their hearts.
The crew from Dawlish Fire Station raised money for The Fire Fighters Charity on Saturday, May 30, with their annual car wash.
And the crew managed to raise £1,140 for the charity, which offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire service.
A spokesperson for the station said: ‘A massive thank you to everyone who cane along with their vehicles.
‘Thank you everyone for visiting us and we can only apologise for the flames dance moves on Exeter Road, although we did hear they were fire.
‘Once again, thank you Dawlish, and the surrounding areas, for supporting us.
‘See you again next year!’
