BEACHGOERS have been warned to be careful at Dawlish Warren following storm damage.

Teignbridge Council says storms over the last few days have eroded the beach and dunes.

Access on and off the beach is difficult and some areas will be cut off for around two hours either side of high tide.

A spokesman said: ‘Please stay back from the edges of dunes where steep cliffs have formed, keep away from unstable sand dunes and beware of exposed metal on the beach.

‘Thank you for your understanding.’
