The Devon County Football Association (FA) has removed all single-use plastic from the clubhouse and bar at its County Ground in Newton Abbot.

The Corner Flag bar and clubhouse at the Coach Road Devon FA headquarters will now only serve drinks in themed, reusable cups and has introduced separate bins for food waste, general waste, plastics, and mixed recycling.

‘The complete removal of single-use plastic in the catering at the County Ground is a positive step forward for our local environment and another great example of the Association’s wider sustainability strategy,’ said Devon County FA director for sustainability Chris Broadbent. ‘It lowers potential plastic pollution in nature with a much more resourceful and sustainable solution instead. And that’s something we can all drink too.’
