TWO drivers were hurt when their cars collided at the Two Mile Oak junction on the Newton Abbot to Totnes road at Abbotskerswell.

Both drivers were told by police at the scene that they would be reported for alleged motoring offences - one for using a vehicle without insurance and the other for driving without care.

The accident - involving a grey Hyundai from Abbotskerswell and a red Suzuki from Newton Abbot - happened just before 8am on Wednesday.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene.

An ambulance spokesman said the casualties were checked over at the location. They did not require hospital treatment.

Both damaged cars were recovered from the scene not far from the Two Mile Oak pub.
