THERE were celebrations among students at South Devon UTC as they collected their GCSE results.
Following months of preparation, exams, and anticipation, students were finally rewarded for their hard work, with many achieving results to be proud of.
Among them were twins Daisy and Lilly Walker who both secured their place at the UTC sixth form to study a Level 3 Extended Diploma in engineering and T Level health qualifications.

Oscar Lowther will be also staying on at the college to continuing his engineering studies.
Students benefit from the Newton Abbot college’s partnerships with employers, universities and industry.
Over the last year, students have gained hands-on experience with NHS professionals, conservation experts and healthcare organisations, while engineering students visited Kier Construction to experience a live infrastructure project and explore careers in the sector.

Claire Plumb, Headteacher, said:
‘Today is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students.
'We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished, both inside and outside the classroom.
‘Whether they are continuing their education, beginning an apprenticeship or taking the next step towards employment, they leave us well prepared for the opportunities ahead.’
