STUDENTS at Coombeshead Academy were described as being in ‘exceptionally high spirits’ when they collected their GCSE results.
The school is celebrating the achievements of all its students today, with some standout successes.
Chloe Cane achieved six grade 9s, two grade 8 and one grade 7 and will be going to Exeter Maths School.
Cora Pollard achieved six grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7 and she will be staying at Coombeshead Sixth Form studying Biology, Chemistry and History.
Anais Fernandes Pickard’s three grade 9s, five grade 8s and one grade 7 will see her also staying at Coombeshead Sixth Form studying Performing Arts, Maths and French.
Harriet Regan will be heading to sixth form at Coombeshead after achieving five grade 8s, three grade 7s and one grade 6 and she will be studying Biology, Core Maths, Psychology and Graphics

Also staying on at Coombeshead Sixth Form is Oscar Blackhall Whittle who achieved one grade 9, four grade 8s, three grade 6 and one grade 5 and he will be studying Psychology, Core Maths, History and Physics.
Sam Bowers will be staying at sixth form after gaining four grade 8s, three grade 7s and one grade 6 to study Biology, French and English Language with Literature.
Heading to Exeter College to study music is Reece Potter who achieved three grade 8s, four grade 7s, one grade 6 and 1 grade 5.
Joining him at Exeter College is Jacob Musterata who achieved two grade 9s, two grade 7s and four grade 6s and will be studying Business.

Ellie Travis, who achieved one Distinction, one grade 9, two grade 8s and five grade 7s will remain at Coombeshead Sixth Form studying Biology, Core Maths, Chemistry and English Language with Literature.
Leila Travis is also staying on at sixth form having gained one Distinction, four grade 8s, one grade 7 and three grade 6s and she will be studying Biology, Core Maths, Chemistry and English Language with Literature.
Helen Coulson, Headteacher at Coombeshead Academy, said: ‘Today is a day to celebrate every one of our students and the unique journey they have taken to reach this milestone.
‘We have watched them grow not only in their academic studies but also as confident, compassionate and resilient young people who have embraced the many opportunities available to them at Coombeshead.’
