As a result of school closures, Stover School will be launching ‘Remote Learning’ leading up to the Easter holiday and all year groups will be carrying on with their educational provision using distance learning platforms.
A spokesman for the school said: ‘As you will be aware from the Prime Minister’s announcement on Wednesday evening, all schools in England will be closed until further notice.
‘As a result, Stover School has provided all pupils with the facility to continue their learning remotely, by providing robust virtual platforms. ‘In order to apportion study time appropriately, the school will follow the usual timetable, as closely as possible, day by day.’
Headmaster, Mr Richard Notman, said: ‘Our main aim is to ensure that the excellent quality of education changes as little as possible.’
After the Easter break, virtual classrooms will be launched with real-time teacher interaction and assessment, to mirror as closely as possible our usual approaches to personalised learning.
‘Stover School have acted quickly to ensure the continuity of education through remote learning. The school aims to deliver high-quality, instructional online learning for its pupils, that is interactive, personal and engaging throughout.
‘Our Research Based Learning curriculum which focuses on hands-on learning will also not be forgotten, with lessons being specifically adapted to remain relevant and effective in the remote learning environment.’
The headmaster said he was ‘proud of the dedication and willingness shown by our staff, exemplifying our school’s aims: Nurture, Inspire, Prepare.’
