THE GAME commences, for the usual fee (plus expenses) at Teignmouth Pavilions next week when top Dire Straits tribute band DS:UK take to the stage for a sell-out show at the venue.

The  show is DS:UK’s  third tour, representing the final era of the band’s career, and brings a genuine and unique experience that boasts to be the most packed and exciting set yet.

The ON anoTHEr NIGHT tour , a play on the Dire Straits album On the Night, pays tribute to Knopfler’s final tour with a magnificent 2hr set list that spans the band’s incredible career.

Mark Knopfler finally let the time bell ring on Dire Straits in 1992, following a triumphant 13 month long tour to promote the band’s final album On Every Street, which also resulted in fan favourite live album On The Night.

Just like every other musician over 2020 and 2021, the six members of the independently run DS:UK show were drastically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic but they weathered the storm and were able to continue their highly successful Brothers in ’85 tour through to a triumphant conclusion in December 2022.

‘Brothers in ’85 was a fantastic tour, and it was made so much sweeter because we weren’t allowed to perform for 18 months,’ said the band’s leader Dave Phillips.

‘Our followers and audiences gave us so much love and energy at our shows when we were all finally able to get back to what we love most - it was humbling!’

The On Every Street album brought some classic Dire Straits songs such as Calling Elvis, The Bug and On Every Street and the expanded lineup created yet another sound that is still instantly recognisable as Dire Straits.

‘Of course we love playing those classic songs , the likes of Romeo and Juliet and  Sultans of Swing,’ continued Dave.

‘However, we’ve been having a blast performing some of Dire Straits’ more interesting compositions from On Every Street and the fans, so far, have loved it.’

Although listed as sold out,  anyone hoping for a late ticket should contact the box office on 01626 24909 regarding returns.
