Eighties pop icon Nik Kershaw is bringing his smash-hit solo tour back for 2027 and will be visiting Paignton’s Palace Theatre in 12 months time.

Nik toured the UK last year with his Musing & Lyrics tour, filling intimate venues across the country, and enjoying standing ovations every night. He is now bringing his tour to the Palace March 21, 2027 giving fans the chance to enter his word of songs and silliness.

Palace Theatre Operations Director Maureen McAllister said : ‘We’ve been working really hard to get this gig booked in and now it’s in the diary we know it will Definitely Be Good! It may be a long way off but we expect this one to sell out fast.’

Nik exploded on to the UK pop scene in 1984. A string of global hit singles including Wouldn’t it Be Good, The Riddle and I Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me saw him languish for 62 weeks on the UK Singles Chart, making him the UK's biggest selling solo artist that year.

In 1985, he performed at Live Aid. After stepping out of the limelight to concentrate on writing and producing, Nik wrote Chesney Hawkes’ The One and Only’ and collaborated with Elton John, Lulu, Petula Clark, The Hollies, Ronan Keating, Jason Donovan, Let Loose, Sia, Imogen Heap, Gary Barlow and Bonnie Tyler. In 1998, Nik returned to performing and has been crafting critically acclaimed albums ever since.

And now once again, he’s going to look back in an intimate evening; so expect songs, stories, and silliness from one of the nation’s most-loved performers.

Nik said: “I had such a great time on this tour last year, meeting fans, telling stories and performing my favourite songs and I can’t wait to do it all again next year.”
