POLICE are urging residents in Buckfastleigh to act more maturely after an incident where a car was left covered in faeces.

The bonnet, windscreen and part of the roof of the silver green-coloured car was discovered to have been smeared with piles of excrement.

Officers are investigating the incident, which happened last week, but say so far they have had no success in tracing the culprit.

A police spokesman said: ‘Unfortunately there have been no lines of enquiry but nevertheless this is very concerning behaviour.

‘We would hope in future that any resident who has an issue with another would act in a more mature and respectful way.’
