THE latest movie by a Teignmouth filmmaker has won two awards at a top international film festival.

Song for Marion, written and directed by Paul Andrew Williams, won awards for the best screenplay, and best actor (Terence Stamp), at the Beijing International Film Festival in China.

Mr williams and Laura Rossi, who wrote the theme music and was also nominated, both flew out to attend, and Mr williams said he was was 'really thrilled' that the film had been recognised.

'It was a long way to go for just a short stay, but it was really fun, and great to be recognised.
