Carole-Anne Barr, chairman, Teign Choral Society: ‘There will also be festive carols, some familiar and some less well known and there will be seasonal readings.

Tickets costing £10, will include a programme and seasonal refreshments, from Teign Music Carlton Place, Ashleigh Way Post Office, members of the choir and at the door.
David Rogers, chairmanof Teignmouth Hospital League of Friends, said: ‘It is my first year as chairman and I must thank the Teign Choral Society for once again sharing their annual Christmas Concert with us.
‘We really do appreciate their generosity in providing this opportunity to raise funds to help with our ongoing work at the hospital.
‘Over the past couple of years there has been a great deal of heartbreak with news that our beloved Hospital, which was the first purpose-built NHS Hospital, is still down for closure. We have supported the people of Teignmouth, Shaldon and Bishopsteignton and we are still going strong after 68 years.
‘We are still providing equipment to the hospital and last year alone we donated over £5.5 thousand pounds and recently we donated over £11.5 thousand pounds which contributed to the health and wellbeing of residents in this area.
‘We shall continue to support the local people to have the best medical services to the high standards required at Teignmouth Hospital.’
