A PLEA has been made to help find a photogenic pet who is the subject of a local painting.

Florence the springer spaniel was photographed in her ‘Lifeboats’ necktie by Shaldon artist Ruth Hinton, who later painted her picture.

The resulting piece was donated by Ruth and is now used on greetings cards in the Teignmouth RNLI shop.

Staff at the shop would like to locate the elusive pooch, and are appealing for her owner to pay them a visit.
