A TEIGNBRIDGE fire crew has been busy of late having attending a number of incidents.
Crew from Buckfastleigh Fire Station recently assisted the ambulance service with removing a casualty from a difficult property due to tight and winding stairs, put out a grass fire in the Dean Prior area, which was caused by a faulty electrical transformer, and mobilised to what was believed to be a high rise fire in Torquay.
The Torquay fire turned out to be a small fire involving cooking.
And today, Monday, August 11, the crew, alongside firefighters from Ashburton Fire Station, tackled at a fire in Ausewell Wood.
The crew used a water carrier and intermediate pumps to convey water to the fire ground.
