FIREFIGHTERS and fire cadets based in Bovey Tracey have raised more than £1,500 for a charity close to their hearts.
The crew from Bovey Tracey Fire Station raised money for The Fire Fighters Charity on Saturday, April 18, with their annual car wash.
And despite responding to two shouts, the crew managed to raise more than £1,500 for the charity, which offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire service.
The crew were on hand at the town’s station from 10am until the afternoon.
A spokesperson for the station said: ‘Thank you to all those who came down to support our charity car wash.
‘A massive thanks to Co Op Bovey Tracey and Dominos Bovey Tracey for keeping us fed and watered throughout the day’.
