A FIREBALL crossed the skies at Teignmouth over the weekend.
Eye-witness Dr Henry Whitehead said: ‘It happened at 7.15am on Saturday. I was by Teignmouth pier and saw it come across the sky from the Exmouth direction.’
The retired GP added: ‘I saw the light over my left shoulder and just watched it cross the sky at a low angle. I’d guess about 30 degrees to the horizon.
‘It was a white ball of light. There was no sound and it was very large. I’d say it was about the size of the moon so must have been quite close.’
The Teignmouth fireball was seen as far away as the Bristol Channel and South Wales.
