EMERGENCY services were alerted when five cars collided near Teignmouth golf course.

Firefighters, paramedics and police attended the scene on Monday evening after the multi-vehicle accident.

A Ford Puma was in collision with a gold Vauxhall Astra which then was in collision with a Seat Leon. In turn, it was in collision with a Volkswagen Golf.

Among the chaos, a Mini Cooper was also damaged by debris, police reported.

Two fire crews from Teignmouth went the accident on the B3192 and discovered all drivers and passengers were free of the vehicles.

A police spokesman said: ‘There was a large amount of debris which had to be cleared by highways but thankfully no one was injured.’

Fire crews made the vehicles safe.
