Teignmouth Tourist Information Centre (TIC) has undergone nearly £18,000 of refurbishment and has now opened its doors, fresh for the summer season. Cllr Tom Archer, Teignbridge executive spokesman for the Economy and Tourism, said: 'We are pleased that these improvement works have been carried out to enhance the facility available for local people and tourists alike. 'The recent works have added improvements including a new automated door to ease accessibility for all customers, and an external notice-board.' The total cost of the work was £17,925. Following feedback from customers, the new and improved Teignmouth TIC is now open to the public and features a fresh layout to make the customer area more spacious, and full-length windows to enable all customers enjoy a bright and light visit.
