AN up-and-coming Teignmouth dancer is performing with the acclaimed English Youth Ballet.

Rachel Evans, 17, will be dancing alongside international principal dancers in Sleeping Beauty at the Playhouse Theatre, Weston-super-Mare next month.

Rachel is taking the roles of a christening guest and a waltz dancer, alongside principal dancer Amy Drew and six other international principal dancers.

She gained the place at an audition in November attended by more than 150 of the region's most talented young dancers.
