Newton Abbot Racecourse was packed with runners supporting the Sport Relief challenge on Sunday.

In total 600 fundraisers ran a mile, three miles or six miles to raise money for the charity.

Many arrived early to get into the spirit of things and took part in an early bird warm-up routine before starting their route.

Cllr George Gribble, Teignbridge executive spokesman for communities, recreation and leisure, said: 'We love helping people get active and were really pleased to organise and manage the Newton Abbot Sport Relief Mile.
