New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Teignbridge’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Teignbridge takeaway awarded new five-star food hygiene ratingThe Bay Tree Cafe, at 15 Market Walk Newton Abbot was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 27.
And Pom Stitch Tassel, at 53 Fore Street Bovey Tracey was also given a score of five on August 14.
It means that of Teignbridge's 256 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 217 (85%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
