A SLIGHT increase in Covid cases has been recorded across Teignbridge over the past seven days and two deaths were recorded on Tuesday.
86 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported yesterday, Tuesday, December 21.
This means that between December 15 and 21, 699 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 1.6 per cent compared to the previous seven days.

The latest figues also reveal that one person with coronavirus went into hospital on December 12.
Between December 6 and 12 December 2021, 26 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows an increase of 13 per cent compared to the previous 7 days.
There were 26 patients in hospital with coronavirus on 14 December 14.
Some people in the hospital need to use a special device called a mechanical ventilator to help them breathe.
There were three coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on December 14.
Deaths in Teignbridge
There were two deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on December 21.
Between December 15 and 21, there have been three deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. This shows an increase of 50 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
