FORMER MP and television personality, Ann Widdecombe, paid a visit to one of Teignbridge’s leading animal rescue centres.

ELM Wildlife, via the organisations Facebook page, said: ‘We were delighted to welcome Ann Widdecombe to the rescue centre.

‘Ann has been a keen hedgehog enthusiast for many years and wanted to come and see the work that we do to rehabilitate the hedgehogs at ELM Wildlife.

‘It was lovely for Ann to meet the volunteers during the shift and chat about all things hedgehogs over coffee and biscuits.’

The hedgehog hospital, which at any one time can be looking after more thamn 200 hoges and hoglets, can now be supported via the Teignbridge Lottery.
