NEWTON Abbot Community Interest Company (CIC) is appealing for volunteers to help maintain the flowerbeds at Penn Inn.

The organisation is looking for people who can spare a couple of hours each month to assist with the upkeep of the flowerbeds in the middle of the roundabout.

No previous gardening experience is required, with full instructions and tools provided to all volunteers.

Newton Abbot CIC manages a range of community projects and activities, centred around the Buckland Centre and the Courtenay Centre.

The organisation also oversees several community gardening initiatives across the town, including the green space in the middle of Penn Inn.
