Fine weather was the order of the day for Teignmouth ladies' silver and bronze open.

The silver visitor prize was won by R Tilke (Fingle Glen) with a gross score of 77 and, the bronze visitor prize by R Coleman (Bigbury) with 35 stableford points.

J Blaby (Fingle Glen) had the best front nine and L Senior (Dainton) the best back nine.

Home club winners were – bronze section Hawkins-Turner Trophy – 1 Stephanie Holland 40 points; 2 Deidre Miles 39, 3 Karen Cole 39.

Silver section – Teignmouth Vase – 1 Miranda Hruby 70 points, 2 Donna Wills 73, 3 Sheila Hawkings 73.

The gross silver competition was won by Vicky Holloway with 73 points; best front nine was by Janet Schofield, best back nine by Liz Hunt.

The Creasey Team had a good 4.5-2.5 home win over East Devon, before beating Stover 4 and 3, but the Still Cup team lost to Exeter Golf Club.

l On a dry, fast-running course, Teignmouth men managed a creditable draw at Churston in the South Devon League.

The four-and-a-half points secured should keep Teignmouth at the top of the league after having played four out of their ten matches.

Point earners for Teignmouth were Rory Hunt and Bob Collier 7&5, Simon Whittle and Chris Ollis 2&1, Darren Chamberlain and Andy Burnham 2up, Jeremy Binch and Ian Wallis 1up, Richard Armitage and Luke Radford a/s.
