RESIDENTS of Bovey Tracey and Heathfield have been encouraged to take part in a community environment day on Saturday November 1.

The 10.30am event will involve planting hundreds of native daffodil bulbs and clearing litter from Mill Marsh Park and the surrounding area.

All equipment will be provided but those with their own are invited to bring it with them.

‘Hopefully the weather will be kind and we’ll enjoy a great morning investing in our town’s environment,’ said Mayor Cllr Sheila Brooke.

‘Join us in the park where you’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome and great sense of achievement at the end of the day.

‘People of all ages can take part, we just ask that children are supervised by an adult. I’m really looking forward to it.’
