THE karate kids are doing all right.

A Teignmouth martial arts club set up by a dad to teach his four- year-old daughter Freya and other children has just celebrated its fourth anniversary.

James White started Chinte Karate when his daughter was keen to learn but none of the established clubs had convenient hours for youngsters.

'I had the idea to run a not-for-profit class because, with children involved in so many extra-curricular activities like swimming, ballet, gymnastics, rugby, football etc, it can become very expensive for parents.
