A Newton Abbot family whose touching story of a rescued lamb featured in the Advertiser has been left 'gutted' after horror dog attacks in which the young animal was mauled and others killed.

Greg Jennings was spotted in Church Road last week taking month-old Dotty to be cared for at home after the animal was rejected by its mother.

But as the lamb enjoyed the safety of the town centre its siblings at the family smallholding near Stokeinteignhead were being savaged by an uncontrolled dog.
