THE developer behind the controversial bid to build homes on a Teignmouth greenfield site is prepared to offer nearby land for public use if planning permission is given.
Tim Baker, from Waddeton Park Ltd, told the Post that they were prepared to donate about 12 acres opposite Inverteign School as an ecological park, and also provide much-needed extra parking space for the school.
His company wants to build 200 homes on the Teignmouth side of Shepherds Lane, and has commissioned archaeologists to survey the fields to discover whether there are any significant historic artefacts on the site.
