The Upper Den Carriageway in Teignmouth has temporarily reopened to ease parking woes in the town as gas works are underway.

The road between the main promenade and the Den in Teginmouth reopened yesterday (May 14) and will be in use until July 1.

Parking along the Upper Den Carriageway is also free for the moment until Devon County Council reprogrammes the pay and display machines.

The Upper Den Carriageway usually closes for the summer period to enable easier pedestrian access along the seafront, particularly in the area around the play park and skate park.
